With “Stranger Things 3” just weeks away, the show’s young cast members dropped by “The Tonight Show” on Friday to talk about the new season of Netflix’s horror hit.

During their appearance, stars Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp and Gaten Matarazzo did what they could to talk about the upcoming season without divulging any spoilers.

Revealing some scenes in the season were shot in an actual mall that had been adjusted by production designers to look like an ’80s mall, Matarazzo told Fallon that in other areas of the mall “people are shopping while we’re filming,” noting there were some “serious, like, spoilers happening… serious plot points.”

Asked to sum up the new season in a single word, the cast offered their suggestions. “Classic,” said Wolfhard, while McLaughlin described the season as “gory” and Sink offered “fun.” Brown used the word “spreading,” while Schnapp and Matarazzo went with “sad” and “bigger,” respectively.

As if that weren’t enough, the cast also took the opportunity to teach Fallon their “Chicken Noodle Soup” song, invented on the set.
