With the recent news that Robert Pattinson is officially the latest actor to play Batman, speculation is rife over who’ll play one of the Caped Crusader’s iconic foes such as the Penguin, the Riddler and Catwoman.

While an online fan campaign is desperate to see Vanessa Hudgens take on the role of the feline supervillain, Aubrey Plaza demonstrated the kind of spin she’d put on the character during her Friday appearance on Global‘s “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”.

“I’m just not gonna even try to get that part,” she told host Stephen Colbert of being cast as Catwoman. “There’s no way in hell they’re gonna cast me.”

Still, that didn’t prevent Colbert from tempting the former “Parks and Recreation” star — soon to be seen in the new reboot of horror hit “Child’s Play” — to deliver an audition, handing her a pair of kitty ears to wear on her head before sliding a pet bowl in front of her and dangling a cat toy overhead.

Colbert clearly knows his stuff, and it didn’t take long before Plaza took the catnip and launched into a full-on impression of a cat, climbing on Colbert’s desk and even giving his face a lick.

Later in the show, Plaza joined Colbert for another edition of his “Community Calendar”, regaling viewers with some of the bizarre happenings in her hometown of Wilmington, Delaware — where, as Plaza put it, “it’s a Wilming-ton of fun.”

Events include a performance on “the fourth-largest theatre pipe organ in the world,” with Colbert telling pipe organ enthusiasts to “get ready for the fourth-greatest night of your life.” Watch:
