W Magazine has dedicated its April “New Guard’ issue to a trio of young thespians whose stars are firmly on the rise.
It doesn’t get any prettier than Eddie Redmayne, Brit Marling and Emayatzy Corinealdi, but there’s more to these three than just good looks.
Cover boy Eddie admits that his big lips landed him a role as Angelina Jolie’s son in The Good Shepherd, but the Les Misérables actor also has an Art History degree from Cambridge and a villainous part in the upcoming sci-fi feature, Jupiter Ascending.
Determined not to be type cast as a blonde bimbo, Brit co-writes and produces most of her films including the upcoming The East in which she plays a spy infiltrating an eco-terrorist group.
Emayatzy is probably the most sensible beauty in young Hollywood. The former army brat created a buzz at last year’s Sundance Film Festival for her role as a prison wife in Middle of Nowhere, but she still keeps an extensive log of all her auditions and also brings snacks.
W Magazine“s April issue is on newsstands now.
