Christmas has come early.
Lea Michele has gifted us all with the news that she will be releasing a holiday album later this year. On Friday, Michele released the album’s first song: “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.
“So happy to finally tell you guys what I’ve been working on so hard behind the scenes. The album I’ve always dreamed of making. Coming this Christmas,” the “Glee” alum shared on Instagram along with a festive picture of herself in a red gown in faux snow.
The upcoming album, Christmas In The City, will feature two duets with her former “Glee” co-stars/best friends Jonathan Groff (who also lends his voice to Kristoff in “Frozen”) and Darren Criss.

Groff will join Michele on “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”, while Criss will be featured on “White Christmas”. Singer-songwriter Cynthia Erivo will also join Michele for a yuletide duet of “Angels We Have Heard On High”.
The upcoming album is Michele’s third. Her last studio album, Places, was released in 2017.
