Beth Chapman, wife of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” star Duane “Dog” Chapman, has been placed in a medically induced coma.
Chapman, 51, has been battling throat cancer since being diagnosed with the disease in 2017, and the family confirmed the news in a statement to Hawaii News Now.
“We humbly ask everyone to please pray for Beth,” reads the statement, which also sends “sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth’s battle with cancer.”
On Monday, her husband posted a heartfelt photo on Twitter showing her hand, with her nails decked out in rhinestones.
Beth Chapman was reportedly admitted to the ICU at Queen’s Medical Center in Hawaii. Diagnosed in 2017, she underwent surgery to remove a mass in her throat that same year.
Sadly, the cancer returned last year; she began chemotherapy in December 2018.
“Faith is probably the #1 thing in our lives, no matter what we’re faced with,” Duane, 66, told Fox News in an interview.
“Through this cancer episode, we had to drum up as much faith as we could,” he added. “And the Bible talks about having faith as small as a mustard seed. And that’s not much… And I thank God that we had at least that much faith to get her through that.”
