YouTuber Etika Found Dead After Missing Since June 19, YouTube Releases A Statement: ‘We Mourn The Loss Of Etika’

The popular gaming YouTube star, Desmond “Etika” Amofah has been missing since June 19.

A police source has told CNN that his belongings, including a backpack and cellphone, were found on a Manhattan Bridge.

His family and fans are concerned for his safety as the disappearance comes just after posting a video where he expresses suicidal thoughts. The video has since been taken down.

The case is still being investigated but New York City police are asking for help.

Just a couple of days after being reported missing, the NYPD has confirmed Etika has been found dead.

No further details have been released.

YouTube Creators tweeted a statement on Tuesday afternoon about the loss of the YouTuber: “We mourn the loss of Etika, a beloved member of our gaming creator community. All of us at YouTube are sending condolences to his loved ones and fans.”
