Chaka Khan always tells it like it is.

The iconic singer was on “Watch What Happens Live” Wednesday night when host Andy Cohen asked about her experience at Oprah Winfrey’s Legends Ball in 2006.

It turns out, Khan had a less-than-stellar time at the star-studded event because the suit she was wearing didn’t fit properly.

Khan also remembers sitting next to Michelle Obama, before she became the first lady.

Cohen asked Khan what her relationship with Kanye West was like when he sampled her song “Through the Fire” on his track “Through the Wire”.

“He called me when he just got out of the hospital,” she revealed. “He said, ‘You were so instrumental in my healing process. I changed the words a little bit to the song but I had to eat through a wire. Jaws wired shut through a straw.’ It meant that much to me. It really got my heart, tugged at my string. I was like, ‘Yeah, use it.'”

In the end, though, Khan was not happy at all with West’s final product.

“Then when it came out, I was pissed,” she said, mocking the high-pitched chorus of the song. “It was a little insulting. Not insulting, I thought it was stupid! If I’d known he was gonna do that, I would have said, ‘Hell, no.'”
