Paul Rudd is set to star in Jason Reitman’s “Ghostbusters”.

Rudd confirmed the news in a video posted by Sony Pictures UK Thursday, telling fans outside the “Ghostbusters” Firestation in New York: “I nearly slimed myself.”

“I can’t wait to join the cast this fall for ‘Ghostbusters’. In fact I’m sliming myself right now,” the “Avengers” star added.

The caption on the video read, “Look who accepted the call. #GB20.”

The upcoming flick is set to centre around a single mom and her children, according  The Hollywood Reporter.

Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace are also set to join the movie.

Reitman said in a statement: “I’ve been wanting to work with Paul Rudd since my short film opened for Wet Hot American Summer at Sundance. Thrilled he’ll be joining this new chapter in the original ‘Ghostbusters’ universe.”

“Ghostbusters” is expected to be released July 10, 2020.
