Nicki Minaj is adding to her beef with BET.
The rapper, 36, slammed the network and their recent awards show, calling them “spiteful”.
The feud kicked off earlier this year when the BET website posted an article about Cardi B becoming the first female rapper to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys. The original article included a dig at Minaj while referencing Cardi’s big win, they wrote, “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.”
In response, both Minaj and Lil Wayne pulled out of the BET Experience concert in the lead-up to the 2019 BET Awards.
But on June 23, when BET aired its annual awards, the ratings appeared to be the lowest in the network’s history. And you can be sure Minaj made sure to comment.
While retweeting an image showing the decline in viewers over the years, the “Good Form” artist wrote, “When you go out of your way to be spiteful and hurt artists who have always supported your show.”
Adding, “When you fire great people who have put their heart and soul into the show… when you’d rather be a messy reality show than a prestigious award show… when you’re still being dragged by that lace.”
Nicki Minaj was nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at this year’s BET Awards, but she didn’t turn up to the ceremony. She has a total of 11 BET Awards.
