Allison Williams and husband Ricky Van Veen have called it quits, with the New York Post‘s Page Six gossip column first to report the news.
According to Page Six, Williams and Van Veen not been seen together for months, while a “close friend” of the couple says the two are “distinctly different.”
“Allison really is Type A, a real go-getter. while Ricky is far more relaxed and laid-back,” a source tells Page Six. “Things just haven’t been going well recently.”
The pair have reportedly been living apart for some time, and have not been seen together in months. “Every time I’ve seen Allison out recently, Ricky’s been nowhere to be seen,” says another source.
The couple were wed in September 2015 at a ceremony at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming, officiated by Tom Hanks.
The “Get Out” star’s father, MSNBC anchor Brian Williams, walked her down the aisle, while celebrity guests at the wedding included Katy Perry, John Mayer, Seth Meyers and Williams’ “Girls” co-stars Lena Dunham, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet.
Van Veen is currently Head of Global Creative Strategy at Facebook, and is the co-founder of both the College Humor website and the Vimeo video platform.
The couple confirmed their split in a statement to ET Canada.
“With mutual love and respect, we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” Williams and Van Veen said in their joint statement. “We are grateful for the friendship that we have and will continue to have.”
