Entertainment Weekly is going digital, and Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland are starring on the magazine’s first ever digital cover.
Along with the three dynamic covers, the “Spider-Man: Far From Home” stars interview each other in a video for EW.com.
In the cover story on EW.com, the actors open up about working together on the new “Spider-Man” film.
Asked about meeting Gyllenhaal for the first time, Holland says, “It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when you meet someone you look up to. I was just really grateful when I met [Jake] and I found out he’s a lovely guy and a great dude.”
Meanwhile, Gyllenhaal talks about working on his first ever Marvel movie.
“You walk into a Marvel film, and it’s huge,” he says. “They’re massive. In a way, you’re expected to just jump on the train and get going. For me, it takes me a second. I get a bit overwhelmed on any set, and it takes some time to warm up.”
In fact, Gyllenhaal ended up looking to Holland as the more experienced actor on the set.
“When he took on the responsibility of leadership, he did it in such a beautiful way, even though we share a difference of many years in our ages and experience,” the actor recalls. “I really looked up to him in that sense. He did it in such a kind way.”
