It looks like Cardi B won’t be able to claim her “okurrr” catchphrase exclusively.
The rapper had filed an application back in March to trademark the phrase for use on goods like posters, cups and clothing, but according to CNN that application has been denied.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office refused the trademark, citing it as a “commonplace term, message, or expression widely used by a variety of sources that merely conveys an ordinary, familiar, well-recognized concept or sentiment.”
The office explained, that “okurrr” is in fact “commonly used in the drag community and by celebrities as an alternate way of saying ‘OK’ or ‘something that is said to affirm when someone is being put in their place.'”
