Blake Shelton is the latest celebrity to try the Bottle Cap Challenge, in which the aim is to perform a karate-style kick with one’s foot grazing the cap of a bottle in such a way as to send it spinning off while the bottle remains intact.
Stars ranging from Jason Statham to Ellie Goulding to Diplo have successfully performed the move, and on Wednesday Shelton shared video of his own attempt.
Adding a little product placement, Shelton situates a bottle of his own Smithworks vodka (which he launched in 2016) and prepares by getting into a kung fu stance.

Unlike the other celebs, however, the “Voice” coach’s kick misses the cap and hits the bottle, sending the vodka crashing to the ground before the horrified singer picks up the fallen bottle and cradles it in his arms like a baby.
“What have I done? What have I done?” laments Shelton before scurrying away with his precious liquor. “I’m sorry Smithworks!”
