Rihanna and her beauty company Fenty are being sued for ignoring the needs of their visually impaired customers.
According to The Blast, Beatriz Gutierrez filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Wednesday claiming she cannot use the Fenty website because it’s “not properly equipped to handle her needs.”
The Blast added that “the customer believes the company does not utilize industry standard screen-reading technology, which enables blind customers to interact with the site.”
The woman in question is reportedly seeking $15,000 in damages, as well as an immediate injunction against Fenty Beauty.
ET Canada has contacted the singer’s rep for comment.
Despite the lawsuit, Rihanna was recently praised for introducing curvy mannequins at her Fenty pop-up store at the Webster in New York’s Soho district.
