Meghan Markle may be on maternity leave, but that wasn’t going to stop her from taking in a match at Wimbledon.
The Duchess of Sussex was on hand at her friend Serena Williams’ match against Slovenian Kaja Juvan on Thursday.
Sitting with old friends university friends Lindsey Roth and Genevieve Hills, the new mother cheered Williams on.
Williams and Markle have been friends for a few years, and last year she attended Markle’s royal wedding to Prince Harry.
Markle didn’t take her newborn son Archie to the game, but she made sure to keep him close to her heart in another way.
The Duchess was seen wearing a gold necklace with an “A” charm.
Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace announced details of Markle and Harry’s son’s upcoming christening.
“Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened in a small private ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday 6 July,” they said in a statement, adding, “The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”
