The Rolling Stones Cover ‘Mercy, Mercy’ For The First Time In 50 Years

The Rolling Stones are back on tour, and they’re surprising fans with some really rare songs.

On Wednesday night at FedExField in Maryland, the band covered Don Covay & The Goodtimers’ 1964 classic “Mercy, Mercy”.

It was a special occasion, given it was the first time they’d performed the song live since 50 years earlier on July 6, 1969.

“It’s a long time ago, so we’re going to try to remember it,” Mick Jagger told the crowd.

When the band opened their tour back in June, they played their own track “Sad Sad Sad” for the first time since 2002.
