G-Eazy would really love to play Elvis.
According to TMZ, the rapper has been in talks to star as Elvis Presley in the upcoming biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann.
It has been reported that Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harry Styles, and Austin Butler top the list for the role, but G-Eazy is apparently angling to have his name in the mix.
TMZ reports the 30-year-old has met with people at Warner Bros., including the director.
A couple of weeks ago, G-Eazy shared a very Elvis-like photo of himself on Instagram, with a lyric from the rock ‘n’ roll legend’s classic song “Don’t Be Cruel”.
The film, which is said to focus on the contentious relationship between Presley and his manager Colonel Tom Parker, is already set to star Tom Hanks in the latter role.
