Renée Zellweger is back as Judy Garland in the latest trailer for the upcoming biographical flick “Judy”.
The movie follows the ups and downs of Garland’s life, with the newly released teaser showing how she had to leave her kids behind for the sake of her career.
The clip also teases her romance with Mickey Deans, who became her fifth and final husband before her tragic death in 1969.
Zellweger says in the video, “I want what everybody wants, I just have a harder time getting it.”
The actress, who is set to release her first-ever solo album after starring on the film’s original soundtrack, looks the spitting image of the icon.
A synopsis reads, “Winter 1968 and showbiz legend Judy Garland arrives in Swinging London to perform in a sell-out run at The Talk of the Town. It is 30 years since she shot to global stardom in the ‘Wizard of Oz’, but if her voice has weakened, its dramatic intensity has only grown.”
“As she prepares for the show, battles with management, charms musicians, and reminisces with friends and adoring fans, her wit and warmth shine through. Even her dreams of romance seem undimmed as she embarks on a courtship with Mickey Deans, her soon-to-be fifth husband.”
