Maya Hawke’s parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, are her biggest fans.
The actress, 21, made her debut in season three of “Stranger Things” over the weekend and Maya’s parents are so proud.
Joining her “Stranger Things” co-star Natalia Dyer at SiriusXM for an interview with Jenny McCarthy, Maya opened up about what it’s like to have such seasoned actors in her family.
“My parents are wonderful,” she gushed.
“I know my parents don’t B.S. me,” she added. “They’re pretty rigorous in terms of their commentary when they like something or don’t.”
After “Stranger Things” premiered on July 4, both Ethan and Thurman took to Instagram to let the world know just how awesome their daughter is.
“Some of you may have missed her in last year’s BBC production of ‘Little Women’,” the proud dad wrote. “Some of you may have missed her work at Juilliard. I know many missed out on numerous high school productions — heck I even missed a few and I’m her father. Some of you may know her music, some may not. But Ladies & Gentleman, get to know MAYA HAWKE. She’s the real thing.”
