Adam Sandler Encourages Fans To ‘Show Our Love’ To Cameron Boyce By Donating To Late Star’s Favourite Charity

Adam Sandler is asking fans to remember Cameron Boyce by making a donation to a charity that meant a lot to the late “Descedants 3” star.

Boyce, who played the son of Sandler’s character in “Grown Ups” and its sequel “Grown Ups 2”, passed away on Saturday after suffering an epileptic seizure in his sleep. He was just 20.

Following Boyce’s passing, Disney Channel announced it was cancelling the red carpet premiere for the third “Descendants” movie, and will be making a donation to the Thirst Project, which honoured Boyce last year after he raised $30,000 for the nonprofit devoted to building wells in order to provide clean drinking water in Swaziland.

On Thursday, Sandler took to Instagram to pay tribute to Boyce and the philanthropy he exhibited during his short life.

“Cameron Boyce (@thecameronboyce) worked hard to help other people through great charitable organizations like @thirstproject & @launitedway,” wrote Sandler in the caption for a photo of Boyce he shared on Instagram. “Let’s show our love and respect by continuing to support them in his name.”

Upon hearing of Boyce’s passing, Sandler shared a poignant tribute to the late actor. “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny,” he wrote. “Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.‬”
