After it appeared that Lil Wayne was ending his time on the Blink-182 tour only two weeks in, the rapper has set things straight.
During a performance in Bristow, Virginia, the “Uproar” Lil Wayne started off his set, only to stop 20 minutes in after four tracks.
Some people on Twitter expressed that Lil Wayne said that there wasn’t enough of “his” fans in the audience after stopping midsong to make his announcement.
“I just want the people to know, please forgive me, but I am so not used to performing to a crowd where there is not too many. That’s not my swag, I’m not sure how long I’m gonna be able to do this tour,” the rapper told the crowd in a video posted online. Adding, “But make some noise for Blink-182 for including me anyway. This might be my last night though.”
Fans jumped on social media to share their experience from the night.
After much confusion, Lil Wayne tweeted out saying that even though he said it “might” be his last night, he will stay on.
“Yesterday was krazy! But I want all my fans to know I won’t be quitting this tour! I’m having too much fun with my bros blink-182. Bangor,ME See you tomorrow!” he said.
The tour runs until October with over 30 more scheduled appearances from Lil Wayne including one Canadian stop in Quebec City.
