Being a parent is hard and being a single parent can be even harder, as Audrina Patridge reveals.

The star opens up about the struggles of being a single mother in a sneak peek of the next episode of “The Hills: New Beginnings”.

“I just have been going through a lot on the personal side of things,” Patridge, 34, tells Heidi Pratt, 32, while fighting back tears. “With court and custody, just everything at once. It’s hard.”

Patridge shares her daughter, Kirra, 3, with ex-husband, Corey Bohan, 37, but the two are going through a fierce custody battle as Patridge requested a temporary retraining and child abduction prevention orders in September 2017.

Bohan has denied the reality star’s claims of abuse, but Patridge was granted temporary full-custody.

“You get so used to having someone there all the time and then it’s just like getting used to being on your own,” Patridge said while talking about “being a single mom.”

“My little girl is my pride and joy and she literally is like an angel sent from God. I could cry, I love her so much,” she added.

Bohan and Patridge’s divorce has been finalized since December 2018, but custody has not been easy.

Just this past Fourth of July, Patridge had to call the police for a welfare check, reports People. Bohan is supposed to return Kirra to Patridge on Thursday mornings with them alternating custody on holidays. Bohan said he was confused and thought it was his holiday.

“This is so distressing for Audrina,” a source told People. “She’s very upset and she hates that they can’t have a peaceful relationship. That’s all she wants for Kirra. It’s really sad.”

“The Hills: New Beginnings” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
