There has been speculation that Irina Shayk may have undergone some cosmetic procedures, and the 33-year-old model offered the perfect response.
“Look, if somebody wants to inject their lips because they feel bad, God bless them,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar. “I don’t judge anyone. I always promote natural beauty because I think we live in this perfect world where everyone wants to be perfect.
She added, “But I’m not perfect. Sometimes I have a double chin. Perfection doesn’t exist.”
In fact, Shayk says she plans to grow old gracefully. “I’m going to have wrinkles and I have wrinkles,” she continues. “You just have to accept the idea of aging and of bodies at every stage, and just celebrate it. In life, we have to let it go and understand it’s a human process not to be perfect.”
As for those persistent reports of cosmetic surgery, she says she takes it all in stride.
“And if I read [a headline] and it’s like, ‘She had injections, her lips look like dumplings,’ I just laugh because it just makes me, I don’t want to say it makes me happy, but I think in this life you have to have a sense of humour,” she explains. “With everything that’s going on in the world, you have to take it easy. Some people are going to love you, some people are going to hate you. It doesn’t really disturb my life.”
Shayk reportedly split from longtime beau Bradley Cooper, 44, in June, with the couple said to be “amicably working out” a custody arrangement for their two-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine.
According to a source, Cooper’s all-encompassing work on “A Star Is Born” — which he wrote, directed, produced, starred in and even sang — took a toll.
“Bradley was emotionally absent during the long time filming ‘A Star Is Born’,” the source told People. “They tried to save the relationship but it had changed.”
