Millie Bobby Brown’s #NeverEndingChallenge has fallen into the laps of a very worthy contestant.
“Stranger Things” has renewed interest in 1984’s “The NeverEnding Story” after characters Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) performed the movie’s theme song late in season three. Since then, “Stranger Things” lead Brown has challenged her fans to dance to the film’s theme song, originally performed by British singer Limahl.
On Friday, actress Tami Stronach answered the challenge. Stronach, now 46, starred as the Childlike Empress in director Wolfgang Peterson’s “The NeverEnding Story”. Joining Stronach was her look-alike daughter Maya Steinbruner.
“My daughter and I just did this hilarious video on Instagram,” Stronach told Entertainment Weekly.
“You know, they did the theme song for ‘The NeverEnding Story’ on ‘Stranger Things’. Millie Bobby Brown made this dance challenge, so my daughter and I did it,” she said. “I tried to do my own and then she wanted to do one but it was all too complicated. So we just put on the music from that scene while we were at a friend’s house, and my daughter and I did a funny dance number.”
Stronach and Brown actually met each other in 2016 while Stronach served as the moderator for a Q&A with the “Stranger Things” star at Rhode Island Comic Con.
