Beyoncé’s ‘Homecoming’ Nabs Six 2019 Emmy Award Nominations

This could finally be the year Beyoncé nabs herself an Emmy Award.

The singer’s documentary/concert movie “Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé” is up for a whopping six awards at this year’s ceremony.

Queen Bey’s Netflix film is up for Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special, as well as Outstanding Music Direction, Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special.

The flick has also been nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, as well as Outstanding Production Design and Outstanding Costumes.

This isn’t the first time the star has been nominated for an Emmy, she was honoured for her epic 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, as well as her 2015 On The Run Tour and 2016′s Lemonade.

The musician could also be up for a 2020 Oscar nod for “Spirit”; which is the original song she co-wrote for the new “Lion King” movie.

Elsewhere in the Emmy Awards nominations list, “Game of Thrones” came out on top with a record-setting 32 nods.
