South Africa Youth Choir Stuns ‘America’s Got Talent’ With Lively ‘Waka Waka’ Performance

A South Africa youth choir has blazed a trail straight to the finals of “America’s Got Talent”.

Members of the Ndlovu Youth Choir followed up their impressive performance during June’s “AGT” auditions with a smash performance of “Waka Waka”. The infectious energy spread to the judges who showered the choir in praise.

“I’ve always thought that art and music are the greatest ambassadors for any place [and] any country,” said country star Brad Paisley. “And you guys, it’s an amazing thing.” Cowell added, “I always love seeing you guys perform. I don’t know what it is. It’s like if I could bottle it, I would drink it every day.”

The group’s performance punched their tickets to the “AGT” finals. The Ndlovu Youth Choir is from a small town in Limpopo and formed in 2009. They received international attention for their 2019 cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” with Grammy-winning flautist Wouter Kellerman.
