Jake Gyllenhaal dropped by “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on Friday, and things got a little weird thanks to a piece of viewer mail.
During Gyllenhaal’s chat with hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, Ripa read a letter from a viewer who requested that she divorce husband Mark Consuelos and marry the “Spider-Man: Far From Home” star.
“Now, I am not discounting this letter at all. I just want to put that out there,” deadpanned Ripa, joking that her new marital situation “may be better” for her children.
“So, what do you say Jake?” she asked him.
“It feels like a lot of pressure for a moment like this,” he admitted, “but I’m open to it.
According to Ripa, she’s already discussed her impending second marriage with her current spouse — who’s apparently cool with it.
“We have time to figure it out. I ran it by Mark. He thinks you are a hell of a guy, and he thinks that you would make a great stepfather to our kids,” she joked, later quipping, “Dreams do come true.”

Meanwhile, in another part of the interview, Gyllehnaal revealed his job before becoming a successful actor: sous chef!
