No one said it was going to be easy and now Meghan Markle has reportedly started to understand the global pressure that comes along with being part of the Royal Family.
According to People, the Duchess of Sussex is struggling with adapting to the new spotlight that goes along with being married into the most famous family in the world.
“Meghan has struggled with the intensity of the spotlight,” a source close to the Royal household the publication. “Although she is a former actress, this is on a different level.”
The tabloids will continue to find points to criticize Meghan on, the most recent being Prince Harry and her choice to keep their son Archie, born May 6, a private citizen.
The insider added that joining the Royals “is an isolated existence,” one that her sister-in-law Kate Middleton knows all too well after marrying Prince William in 2011.
Although this has allegedly allowed Kate and Meghan to bond. The Duchess of Cambridge previously said that motherhood can be “lonely at times, and you do feel quite isolated. But so many other mothers are going through exactly what you are going through.”
Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter, a mom herself, pointed out that “babies are a great leveller.”
Adding, “The minute you’re bonding over your stories and sleepless nights, suddenly all the stuff that mattered before doesn’t matter anymore.”
