The cast and producers of “Veronica Mars” assembled at Comic-Con on Friday to discuss the beloved detective drama’s revival and there was some big news to share.
Star Kristen Bell made a special announcement, telling fans that the show won’t be premiering on July 26 as planned — but is instead available to view now.
“Are there executives here?” asked Bell, who on Thursday celebrated her 39th birthday, declaring that debuting the series a week earlier would be the perfect birthday gift.

In a recent interview with TVLine, Bell discussed her feelings on reviving the show, admitting she envisions “an endless life” for the character due to series creator Rob Thomas’ “commitment to reinventing the story,” adding, “as long as the fans want more I will try to do it again.”
“I told Rob that I will do ‘Veronica Mars’ until it’s ‘Murder, She Wrote’,” she joked. “I will keep doing this show until everyone in Neptune is dead. And then the big reveal [in the eventual series finale] is that Veronica’s the criminal; she killed everyone!”
“Veronica Mars” is available to stream now in the U.S. and Canada.
