Lisa Vanderpump is understandably reeling after losing her mother.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star made her first public appearance at Project Angel Food’s 12 Millionth Meal event in Los Angeles on Thursday. Vanderpump, 58, was helping to prepare the meals when she began breaking down in tears, according to Us Weekly.
“I just lost my mother and just came back from London,” the reality star told the publication. “It’s been difficult. It’s something everybody goes through.” Her mother, Jean Vanderpump, passed away on June 17 and was memorialized with a funeral in the U.K. last week.
“We’ve been involved in philanthropic endeavours for years. I still have to work. It’s not like I inherited money and I can throw it around,” Vanderpump continued. “I have to work hard for it. Right now, business is very tough, you know?”
Vanderpump also touched on the April 2018 death of her brother Mark. “It’s not easy, but there are certain aspects of my life that have been challenging,” she said. “I think when you lose your only sibling unexpectedly to suicide, that changed everything,”
The celeb departed from “The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” earlier this month.
