The Marvel Comic-Con panel was not short on good news.
Studio head Kevin Feige first announced that “Avengers: Endgame” will pass “Avatar” for the world record of the highest grossing film by Sunday.
Then came the cast of the anticipated “The Eternals”: Richard Madden as Icarus, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite and Don Lee as Gilgamesh took the stage with a huge surprise for the audience — Angelina Jolie, who will be playing the role of Thena.

The actress was rumoured not to be attending Comic-Con, but to fan’s delight, made an appearance.
“I’m so excited to be here. I’m going to work 10 times harder, what it means to be part of MCU, to be part of ‘Etnerals’. We are going to be working very hard. I’m in training,” Jolie told the crowd. The last time Jolie was at Comic-Con was during another surprise appearance in 2010 for “Salt”.
Hayek, who will play the leader of the group said, “I take my inspiration from our leader Chloé [Zhao]. It takes a strong woman to do a movie like this. The way she approaches leadership as a strong woman, she sees them as a family. There’s a lot of mother instincts in the ‘Eternals’…I feel honoured to be part of a movie which will show people who aren’t represented (on screen).”
Lee added that he “can’t wait to show you the power of Gilgamesh.” He was then questioned if Gilgamesh or Hulk would win in a fight. “Is Mark Ruffalo here?” he asked looking around before saying that his character would win.
