Cole Sprouse, 26, and Lili Reinhart, 22, have reportedly split after two years of dating.
According to E! News, a source revealed that the “Riverdale” co-stars “broke-up earlier this summer,” revealing that “the two are not living together this season.”
The source claims that the stars, who have become beloved by fans on-screen as Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper — better known as “Bughead” — have been “intentionally keeping their distance from the other.”
However, with filming back in production for “Riverdale” season 4, Sprouse and Reinhart are reportedly on “much better terms.”
Over the weekend, the co-stars stepped out at 2019 Comic-Con International in San Diego, where they joined their cast members at a panel in Hall H on Sunday.
Despite appearing all smiles beside each other on stage — with Reinhart even poking fun at Sprouse and her other co-star KJ Apa in an Instagram post later on — Us Weekly reports that the pair were “spotted keeping a distance from each other at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party” the day before on Saturday.
According to Us Weekly, Sprouse was “overheard telling a pal at the event that he and Reinhart broke up” and the “Five Feet Apart” actor allegedly left the party at the end of the night with Apa and Camila Mendes.
While news of the couple’s alleged break-up may come as a surprise to fans, an insider tells E! News that while it is “unclear where things stand,” the actors “could be heading back in the direction of getting together.”
Sprouse and Reinhart appeared to confirm their relationship back in April 2017 when they were spotted kissing and holding hands in Paris. The couple later made their relationship official at the 2017 Met Gala.
