Blind Veteran Robert Finley Wows On ‘America’s Got Talent’ With Original Song

At 65 years old, Robert Finley is living his dream.

The blind Vietnam War veteran took the “America’s Got Talent” stage on Tuesday night to perform an original song titled “Medicine Woman”.

Finley’s performance of the smooth, bluesy song had the audience and the judges alike cheering him on, culminating with a standing ovation.

When it came time for the judges to have their say, they sent Finley right through to the live shows.

“I once left a show and the big reason was, I could not get over this rule that anyone over the age of 29 couldn’t be part of a singing competition,” Simon Cowell told him. “I think you were better today than you were the first time. I just wish I could be as cool as you.”
