Travis Scott got some extra-special help to craft the visuals for his song “Wake Up”.
The four-time Grammy-nominated rapper released the music video for “Wake Up” from his chart-topping album ASTROWORLD. The song features guest vocals from Canada’s The Weeknd and the visuals were directed by Jonah Hill.
In the black-and-white video, Scott walks through a mansion scattered with bodies. The supernatural mood is amplified when the rapper’s body begins sparkling and levitating through the rooms. The “Wake Up” music video marks the fourth video release for ASTROWORLD. Scott has also put out videos for “Stop Trying to Be God” “Sicko Mode”, “Yosemite” and “Can’t Say”.
Hill shared a link to the video on Twitter and thanked “everyone who worked on this video.” Scott has yet to announced a followup to ASTROWORLD, but recently collaborated with Ed Sheeran on “Antisocial” from No.6 Collaborations Project.
The “22 Jump Street” star has been flexing his directorial skills as of late. Hill made his feature-length directorial debut with 2018’s well-received coming-of-age dramedy “Mid90s”. He also served as director for Danny Brown’s “Ain’t It Funny” and Vampire Weekend’s “Sunflower” music videos.
