“Aladdin” is magic at the box-office.

Disney’s live-action remake of “Aladdin” has officially crossed $1 billion in ticket sales at the global box-office. The film currently ranks as the third biggest worldwide grossing film of 2019 and the fourth biggest domestically.

This year has been massive for Disney. Five of the six biggest films worldwide and domestically — including the top three — were all distributed by the House of Mouse. Those films are “Avengers: Endgame”, “Captain Marvel”, “Aladdin”, “Toy Story 4” and “The Lion King”.

The only other film in the top six is “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, which despite being distributed by Sony was co-produced by Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures.

Lead actor Mena Massoud celebrated the recent milestone of “Aladdin” by noting its diverse cast. “We’re officially the most ethnically diverse cast to ever lead a film to the billion-dollar club,” he tweeted. “Pretty. Freakin. Cool.”

Earlier this month, Will Smith celebrated how the film was his “biggest movie” to date. “This is a post that I’m just humbled and honoured to make a right note,” he said on Instagram. “To be in this game as long as I’ve been in this game and to have my biggest movie at this point in my career, I just want to say thank you.”

“Aladdin” premiered May 24.
