Idris Elba Tells Colbert He Was Teased By ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ Co-Stars For Starring In ‘Cats’

Idris Elba is going from wild action movie to a musical with digital fur technology.

The actor plays Macavity in the film adaptation of “Cats”, out later this year, and talked about it on Global’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”.

Elba revealed that he went to work on “Cats” immediately after filming “Hobbs & Shaw”, and both Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham would tease him about it.

Colbert also asked Elba about his experience at “cat school”, where he learned how to move and act like a real cat. He then got up and shared with Colbert a bit of that knowledge.
