Machine Gun Kelly knows just how to give closure to his highly-publicized feud with Eminem.
Kelly appeared on Complex’s “Everyday Struggle” to talk about his new album Hotel Diablo, his movie role in “The Dirt” and his famous back-and-forth with Slim Shady. When asked how the two rappers can reconcile, MGK told the hosts, “Put us on a track, see who comes harder.”
Eminem famously dissed MGK on “Not Alike” from his surprise Kamikaze album. What followed was a scathing response from MGK titled, “Rap Devil”. The final entry in the saga was Eminem’s fully-dedicated diss track “Killshot”.
MGK also used his feud with Eminem to touch on reinforced generational divides. “The Internet thing trying to muddy it, that was a little annoying because it was kinda like, we can’t be a generation that rides only because a person’s a legend and strictly goes off that factor,” he argued.
“When we do something for our generation, step up and acknowledge what happened, hold it down. That was not something I was expecting to ever happen,” MGK continued. “I said what I said, I don’t give a f**k.. That should be the narrative for anyone in our generation.”
MGK released his fourth studio album Hotel Diablo on July 5. It peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart and number four on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It also received mostly positive reviews from critics.
