Anticipation is building for “It Chapter Two”, the upcoming sequel to the 2017 horror hit based on Stephen King’s novel, and a new featurette takes viewers back to Derry, Maine, 27 years later.

In addition to brief interviews with King, director Andy Muschietti, Bill Skarsgard (who reprises his role as demonic clown Pennywise), and the rest of the cast, the new video also serves up a sneak peek at flashbacks to the fateful summer of 1989 and the grown-up kids of the first film, including Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and Andy Bean.

“When the movie ended and it said ‘End of Chapter One,’ audiences applauded,” says King in the featurette. “They wanted more. So now they’re gonna get more.”

“Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club — young and adult — in a return to where it all began with ‘It Chapter Two’,” reads the synopsis. “Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, ‘It Chapter Two’ brings the characters — who’ve long since gone their separate ways — back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.”

As if the new featurette weren’t enough, a new poster for the IMAX release of “It Chapter Two” was also unveiled on Instagram.

“It Chapter Two” hits theatres on September 6.
