The final moments of Disney Channel’s “Descendants 3” paid tribute to star Cameron Boyce, who passed away last month at age 20.
In the final moments of the film, in which Boyce played Carlos, a two-minute video featured clips of Boyce throughout the years, from his early days on “Jessie” to all three “Descendants” movies.
In the heartwarming video, the young actor is seen hugging “Descendants” director Kenny Ortega, cracking up on the set with “Jessie” co-star Debby Ryan and sharing a sweet moment with Michelle Obama.
“Everything you are. Every smile, every laugh, every dance, every hug, every moment, everyone you touched,” read an onscreen message during the tribute. “You mean everything to us.”
Ortega, who directed Boyce in all three “Descendants” movies, paid homage to Boyce when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“His all-too-brief appearance in this life inspired me beyond words,” said the director during the ceremony on July 24, “and many of us here and generations of kids and families all over the world.”
