“Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” opened on August 2, and fans of the “Fast & Furious” spinoff are already taking to social media to point out a glaring error that requires some serious suspension of disbelief.
In the film, Jason Statham, 52, reprises his “F&F” role as Deckard Shaw, who reluctantly teams up with Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) in this spinoff of the high-octane franchise.
The movie features a look at the families of both men, including the introduction of Shaw’s sister, Hattie Shaw, played by Vanessa Kirby, 31.
While the actors are 21 years apart in age, flashbacks in the film depict the siblings during their childhood, with the two appearing to be close to the same age.
