On Saturday, The Fifth Harmony alum turned solo artist clapped back at a critic who more or less called her a poor man’s Beyoncé.

The critique came from Sandra E. Garcia of The New York Times, who on Friday retweeted a video of Normani’s Aug. 1 performance at Lollapalooza with the comment, “Every time I see Normani perform I feel like she hasn’t graduated Beyonce school yet.”

Normani had a simple and straightforward reply: “then don’t watch.”

Normani’s tweet garnered thousands of likes in just a matter of hours. Clearly, her fans won’t stand for the comparison either.
