Rihanna is back in Barbados for Crop Over 2019.

On Monday, the 31-year-old music star and fashion designer dazzled crowds at the annual Grand Kadooment Day parade in a bubblegum pink minidress with ostrich feather detailing, which she matched with lime green eyeshadow by makeup artist Priscilla Ono, bedazzled sunglasses and Bantu knots in her hair.

During the lively day-long celebration, Rihanna, who joined the Aura Experience band, halted the parade briefly to enter into crowds of excited fans and pause for photos at a local friend’s home en route.

Born and raised in Barbados, Rihanna made her first major appearance at the Crop Over Festival in 2011. Crop Over marks the last harvesting of the year’s sugar crop, which has become a cause for festivities in Barbados.

Over the weekend, the Fenty Beauty creator stepped out with her 29-year-old brother Rorrey Fenty, who hosted the Zirque Event in partnership with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. at Nikki Beach Barbados. At the event, the star wore a breezy top and wrap skirt by New York-based brand Collina Strada.

During Crop Over 2019, ET Canada spoke with Rorrey Fenty, who opened up about his sister Rihanna’s loyal fandom back home.

“It still amazes me,” the rapper and entrepreneur, who works in collaboration with the Aura Experience band, said. “She has a very big support system in Barbados and her fans are amazing. I love her.”

Opening up about Rihanna’s growing connection to Crop Over throughout the years, he added, “She helps Crop Over get bigger and better every year too just by supporting it, so it’s not just about Aura, but it’s about Barbados and helping Barbados and the festival to grow.”

In past years, Rihanna has become the undisputed queen of Crop Over, stepping out in jaw-dropping carnival-inspired, crystal-embellished looks.

Speaking to the spirit of Crop Over in Barbados, which brings in people from all over the world, Rorrey explained, “We celebrate. People are just in a good mood. They love to party and enjoy themselves – for that one day, they just release everything and the vibe is amazing.”
