The Titans will be enlisting some new heroes in the DC series’ upcoming season, with a new trailer for Season 2 heralding the arrival of Superboy (Joshua Orpin) and Deathstroke (Esai Morales).
The first season of the series — which airs in the U.S. on the DC Universe streaming service and here in Canada on Netflix — followed Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Batman sidekick Robin (Brenton Thwaites) as he teamed up with Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) and Starfire (Diop), encountering a who’s who of DC Comics characters including Wonder Girl (Conor Leslie), Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly) along the way.
“I see you made the news with your old Titans friends, and some new ones, too,” Bruce Wayne/Batman (Iain Glen of “Game of Thrones” fame) tells Dick in the trailer, which also features Aqualad (Drew Van Acker).

“This is a new Titans,” Dick tells Bruce. “There are no sidekicks in Titans. We’re partners. We have each other’s backs.”
The second season of “Titans” premieres on DC Universe on Sept. 6; in Canada, Netflix has yet to announce a premiere date.
