While Amber Heard continues to allege she was the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of estranged husband Johnny Depp, it’s been confirmed that Amber herself was once arrested and charged with domestic violence in a 2009 incident in which she attacked then-girlfriend Tasya van Ree in the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
As TMZ reports, “law enforcement sources and documents”; prove that Amber and Tasya got into a nasty spat on September 14, 2009 at the airport, which led to Heard allegedly grabbing her girlfriend and striking her on the arm. This, notes TMZ, “upset Tasya and triggered the arrest.”;

Amber was arrested and booked for misdemeanour domestic violence, and had her mugshot taken before appearing in court the following day.
TMZ obtained audio of the court hearing, in which the prosecutor decided not to move forward with the case — reportedly because the women lived in California — with the judge telling Amber that the prosecutor could still change his mind and refile the charges within the two-year statute of limitations period.
TMZ has reached out to Amber’s lawyer, but has yet to receive a response.
Meanwhile, Amber’s friend, artist iO Tillett Wright, is coming to her defense, claiming in a series of tweets that she witnessed bruises and marks on Amber’s body after she was allegedly attacked by Johhny Depp, and claims she was on the phone with Amber during one of those alleged assaults.

“This culture of victim blaming makes me sick,”; Wright writes, challenging claims of doormen in the couple’s building who say they never witnessed any marks on Amber. “I’m a witness. I’m here. I’m standing up. I can’t take any more of this witch hunt.”;
She adds: “I was on the f***ing phone when he hit her. I HEARD HER SCREAM. I will testify. Here and in court. Under oath. WHAT ELSE DOES A WOMAN NEED?”;
