Jack Black and Jack White got together at last.

At a concert in Nashville over the weekend, Black revealed that he and his Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass had collaborated with the former White Stripes frontman, the Tennessean reported.

“Jack White,” Black told the audience before the encore, “we went over to his house today and recorded a brand-new song.”

The actor and musician added that the song will be released soon on White’s label Third Man Records.

A few days after announcing the collab, “Jack Gray” shared a vlog on YouTube documenting how the song came together.

Tenacious D and Jack White also crossed paths back in June. They shared a photo on Instagram at the time, joking that the band had hired White as “a new merch guy.”
