This will be the first time the “Me!” singer has performed at the VMAs since 2015 when she sparked a Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj who criticized the awards for not nominating her “Anaconda” video.
The 29-year-old has earned an astounding 10 nominations for her songs “Me!” and “You Need to Calm Down”, which means she is tied with Ariana Grande for the most nominations. The pop-stars are nominated in eight of the same categories, including the coveted Video of the Year award.

She took home the Video of the Year trophy for “Bad Blood” that year, granting her a total of seven MTV VMA awards.
Leading into to this year, Swift has made headlines for criticizing Scooter Braun who, after purchasing Big Machine Records, owns Swift’s master recordings from her first six albums.
