It seems Danny Trejo’s heroics are not reserved only for the big screen.

The “Machete” and “Spy Kids” star is credited with pulling a baby out from a flipped car on Wednesday at an intersection in Sylmar, Los Angeles, according to a report from ABC 7 news.

“A lady ran a red light and crashed into that Explorer [and] flipped it over. There was a baby inside and a grandma,” Trejo told a reporter. “I had to crawl through the window. I crawled in but I couldn’t get the baby out. I couldn’t unbuckle the seatbelt.”

Fortunately, Trejo had help. He looked around for a young lady who was at the scene of the accident. Trejo could no longer see her but told the camera, “She got in and unbuckled the seatbelt and I pulled the baby out the other side.”

Three people were transported to the hospital but there were no significant injuries.

2019 has been a busy year for Trejo. He played a role in “The Short History of the Long Road” and the upcoming films “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” and Rob Zombie’s “3 from Hell”. He was also featured in six episodes of “3Below: Tales of Arcadia”, an episode of “What We Do in the Shadows” and “Blue Bloods”.
