The past few months have been turbulent for Jenelle Evans, and on Friday night she announced she was stepping away from Twitter.
“Bye Twitter, everyone hates me,” wrote the “Teen Mom 2” star in what she implied would be her final tweet.
“Depression sucks and you’ve got what you wanted,” she continued. “Hope you’re happy. Just keep writing about me, but I’m out.”
In early May, the reality star’s husband, David Eason, allegedly shot and killed the family dog after it supposedly bit the couple’s young daughter. Evans was subsequently fired from “Teen Mom 2”.
This was followed by Eason losing custody of her two children before having her children returned to her in early July, and then allegedly telling police that she “fabricated” the police report accusing her husband of killing their dog in order to drum up “publicity.”
At the time, Eason shared her thoughts about the alleged murder of the dog, Nugget, in a since-deleted Instagram post. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face… whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that s**t at all,” Eason wrote alongside a video of Nugget appearing to be aggressive toward her daughter. “I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me.”
During that same period, Evans’ reps addressed her departure from “Teen Mom 2. “Jenelle is focusing on her family and moving forward,” her team told People. “She is very grateful and appreciative of the opportunity MTV have given her and her family for the last 10 years. It is sad to part ways in this matter but this isn’t the end of Jenelle Evans or her family.”
