Jameela Jamil is celebrating a big win for body positivity.
“The Good Place” actress just shared that she was able to “insist” that her image for the billboards and advertisements go untouched.
“I get backfat in Every. Single. Bra. And I used to hide/bin so many photos because of ‘muffin tops.’ Double chins/ ‘imperfections’ because I never saw them on people on TV,” Jamil said in a tweet along with pictures from the final season of “The Good Place”.
In a later post, she added, “I know it’s hard because we are perpetually scrutinized and criticized in this industry, but I’m begging other influencers, actors, and models to join me in not allowing airbrushing. We have to stop setting standards for others that we ourselves don’t even meet.”
Jamil was recently selected by the Duchess of Sussex to appear on the cover of the September issue of British Vogue for her work in body positivity.
