BTS is slamming on the brakes.
In a tweet Sunday from the K-pop boy band’s management firm, BigHit Entertainment is announcing that the group will be taking “an extended period of rest and relaxation” after completing the final date on the group’s current tour in October.
“This period will be an opportunity for the members of BTS… to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators,” the statement continues. “This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly.”
This will mark the first break the hard-working singers have had since the group formed in 2013, and the letter asks a special request of fans: “Should you have a chance encounter with a member of BTS while they are on vacation, we ask that you show consideration for their need to rest and enjoy their private time off.”
So how are fans handling the fact that their beloved BTS will be out of action for a couple of months?
Judging by the Twitter response, they’re surprisingly cool with it.
